and members of the House and Senate:
I have heard the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, while expecting a different result. You are on the verge of passing another bill funded with something you don’t have. Money. We, and I do mean the collective we, got into this situation by spending what we didn’t have. Borrowing beyond our means to attain a lifestyle we couldn’t afford. Yet, this is exactly what you are doing now. You tried to borrow our way out of a hole once in October, and managed to over spend your allocation, and now you are asking demanding more. Why do you expect this to work this time? Insanity.
But this isn’t about doing what is right, it is about control. Debt is a chain, a horrible chain that binds and controls. Sometimes those chains are donned willingly, sometimes they are not.
Sometimes being a good leader is knowing when to step back and just let things happen. This would have been one of those times. We, as a people, would have figured a way out of it. You should have CUT billions in government spending on useless projects and programs, and returned that money back to the people. Cut taxes permanently. Let us figure out that we need to tighten our belts, pay off our debts, and then reinvest back into ourselves and businesses. Once the chains of debt are broken, we are free to innovate, to explore, and discover, and that will ultimately create jobs, wealth and power for our country.
But if we do that, then we don’t need you. And you can’t stand that. Liberals need someone to help. This is about control. Always has been.
With all due respect,
We don’t need your help.
